My name is Danilo van Woerden, the founder and actual manager of Agapé Tours. Originally from Holland, you may have read "The Hiding Place" book or seen the movie, read the books of Corrie Ten Boom who was my grand-mother's sister. My father Peter who was the organist in the book, introduced me to the experience of travel since I was two months old, on a ship off to the USA. All through my youth, we travelled some 40 countries as a Christian family of musicians.

With my wife Barbara, we organized in 1983-1984 the international gathering "Jerusalem 84" bringing together Christians from all backgrounds and all countries to Jerusalem for a time of prayer and sharing. Close to 1000 participants were lodged in orthodox Christian homes in the old city of Jerusalem.

After this great experience, we officially opened the Agape Tours Travel company in September 1985, with the goal of promoting Christian contacts throughout the world. Our goals :
- offer exceptional holidays, filled with fun, joy and discoveries
- create opportunities that will make you discover more of God's Love
- encourage contacts and sharing with all kinds of people
- support Christians abroad, missionaries, orphanages, hospitals, etc
- cooperate with Christian organizations worldwide
- give you the best deals you can get.

For missionary organization, we have special airfare contracts with "missionary fares" reserved for missionaries, mostly with Air France, Swiss Airlines, SN-Brussels and others.

Every year, we offer a dozen guided trips throughout the world, so far exclusively in French. These groups are usually limited to 20 persons and all have a Christian content, include meeting Christians, music and lots of fun. Some of the countries visited are :
China, Japan, Vietnam, India (north and south), Nepal, Ouzbekistan, Iran, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Israel, Lebanon, Turkey, Greece, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana, Madagascar, Mauritania, Morocco, Tunisia, Argentina, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, Mexico, USA, Canada, etc......

As well, we do specialize in organizing international conferences and Christian happenings throughout the world and more particularly in Israel. At the moment, we handle the yearly "Convention Mondiale Franco-Arabo-Israélienne" gathering Christians from France, Belgium, Switzerland and Africa, in October-november.
